We know that food and mealtimes form an important part of child development and learning, so we are looking for a part-time Cook/Chef to prepare interesting, varied, fresh and nutritious meals for our children.
Feathered Skies Nursery & Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children below statutory school age. In this role you will:
- Design and deliver a varied and nutritious menu whilst meeting dietary requirements
- Ensure eating areas are set up and cleared away, and that daily / weekly cleaning is carried out effectively
- Ensure the kitchen has sufficient stock of foods, cleaning materials and disposables
- Effectively manage a budget
- Manage the kitchen administration, including calculating meal costs, completing employment and health and safety paperwork, and monitoring performance
- Welcome feedback, and work with the settings Managers to maintain high standards
- Ensure all health and safety, food safety and hygiene procedures are followed
As well as having a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification and experience of working in a similar catering environment, you’ll also be full of enthusiasm and well organised.
