Feathered Skies Nursery & Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children below statutory school age. This is a truly exciting role where you’ll have the opportunity to lead a Room and manage a small and brilliant team whilst providing an engaging and stimulating, safe and high-quality education and care for young children.
You will need to have experience of working in an Early Years environment and have experience of building a high-performance team. In addition, you’ll have Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent, and a commitment to obtaining a level 4 qualification with our support.
You will have a sound understanding of child development and be able to provide examples of how you have delivered high quality education and learning to children as well as having a good understanding of play-based approaches to children’s learning and development.
You’ll be able to demonstrate your knowledge of current legislation for Early Years and a give examples of your commitment to continuously promoting a culture of safeguarding.
Your experience of Ofsted, Early Years SENCO and working in a Day Nursery with young children means that you know how to engage and motivate a team and are skilled at building strong relationships with parents/families.
A current Paediatric First Aid qualification and/or First Aid at Work is desirable but not essential.

Salary guide: £19,000 – £21,000 dependant upon experience and potential
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and does require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
